Lately, this podcast has been something that I feel isn’t providing adequate value to either myself or my audience for the effort I’m putting in, compared to other things I could be using that energy for. At this point in my life, I feel like I have the time to commit… but I don’t have the mental energy. So I’m struggling to put in 8 hours of work/study/podcasting each day, and it ends up being more like 3-6 hours of actual mental work.

This podcast has been a wonderful journey so far and this is by no means the end! But with the “Rookie Roadmap” series I want to release, I feel like I need more time to produce something that’s of actual value. So once my Personal Training course is finished, I will be re-evaluating the best process moving forward :)

I’ll keep you in the loop on my socials (@psychphyt)! Dr. Cameron Sepah introduced this concept to help people find healthier alternatives to their unhealthy habits. Can’t go on Facebook without buying another pair of jeans? Can’t go out to dinner without having a drink? A dopamine detox is about taking back control of these behaviours. There’s nothing wrong with having a drink with dinner… but when you can’t NOT have a drink with dinner is when the behaviours starts to control you.

***If you are suffering from something more serious, like a potential addiction or mental health issue, please seek professional help.
